Belle & Bride Photoshoot
What a fun day we had! After months of planning and organisation, the day had finally come to showcase some of my favourite styles to be professionally photographed. I employed professional photographer William Smyth-Osborne along with his sister and assistant Hannah for the day. I also enlisted the expertise of incredibly talented makeup artist Sophie Bauer. I invited five of my carefully selected friends to be my models.
With an early start on a rainy Sunday morning- the styling got underway. I created a detailed timing schedule in advance of the day with detailed notes on each style. I kept to the timings as closely as possible – great practice for wedding mornings!
I designed two styles for each model depending on their hair length, hair type, texture and colour. I adapted my use of products also dependant on this, including some of my favourite products from Oribe, Bumble & Bumble, Tigi, Toni & Guy and Percy & Reed. I also brought a range of accessories to suit each design, from traditional decorative combs, boho style ribbons and the use of natural flowers.
The day went to plan and I even managed to stop for lunch and eat some of the yummy food I had spread on for everyone involved. Each person told me how much they had really enjoyed the day , especially my very lovely hair models – although what female wouldn’t enjoy being pampered and having their hair and makeup professionally styled!
