Watergate Bay, Cornwall Wedding
What a privilege it was to be asked to style the bride, two bridesmaids and mother of the bride at this stunning venue of Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall. The morning could not have been more perfect - beautiful blue skies (as pictured), striking bridal suite compete with roll top bath in front of floor-to-ceiling and a gorgeous bridal break fast spread.
I started, as I always do, with the preparation of the bride's hair by curling and setting her hair. My first step is to apply Percy & Reed's moose through the hair from root to tip and to then roughdry with a hairdryer. Next I use my trusty Loreal Ellnet Heat Protection spray through the hair before using the curling wand. Once the section of hair is curled, I pin into place at the root of the hair, in order for it to cool and set. I then repeated the same process to both bridesmaids. While all their hair cooled, I carried out a bouncy blow dry for the MOTB with the aid of my nifty new purchase Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray! For the bride's unstructured up do, we used two wefts of hair extensions to match her hair shade from Dirty Looks, which were seamlessly hidden within the hair style. The bridesmaids both had bob length hair and had both opted for half up hair with twisted sections to the side. I finished this off with Oribe Dry Texturising Spray to give the curls long lasting hold. I then completed the bride's look by inserting her fabulous single tiered veil which was finished off with her beautiful decorative comb.
Once my job was done, I made the most of the September sunshine by taking a drive to Padstow to try out the famous Rick Stein's Fish & Chips restaurant - I would thoroughly recommend it!
